Three Sunrise Drives 2013:
Sunday, June 30 – open at 3:30 AM
Sunday, July 28 – open at 4:00 AM
Sunday, August 25 – open at 4:30 AM
The Mt. Washington Auto Road will open early on three Sundays in 2013, on June 30, July 28 and August 25, allowing guests to drive themselves to the summit of Mt. Washington to view the sunrise from the highest peak in the Northeast. On June 30, the Auto Road will open at 3:30 AM, on July 28 at 4:00 AM and at 4:30 AM on August 25, which will allow guests to arrive early enough to watch the sun come up over the Atlantic Ocean. Regular Drive Yourself rates and Vehicle Restrictions apply. The Mt. Washington Auto Road recommends not waiting until the last minute to arrive as you may spend a few additional minutes at the Toll House due to traffic.
The State Park building will be open with limited food service on all three of these mornings.
